Dressing the best: Wedding flowers for a winter celebration at Le Manoir
Wedding flowers for a celebration at Le Manoir needed to match the splendour of the setting and the food

Designing wedding flowers for a winter celebration at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons was an opportunity for Nikki Tibbles and the team at Wild at Heart to match the splendour of both the setting and the exquisite food with lavish arrangements incorporating elegant vessels and subtle lighting

A wedding at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire is always going to be a wonderful celebration, and for this winter party, the theme for the wedding flowers was classic and elegant.

Nikki and the team at Wild at Heart worked with wedding planner and designer Isobel Lamplough of Isobel Weddings, who had created a wonderful design for the day. While this was winter, so with lower light levels, guests were welcomed into a light-filled marquee where the couple were married under a bespoke Nikki Tibbles floral arch. Tall flower vases were ranged around the sides of the room, with votives in glass hurricane lamps dressing the aisle.

It was after the ceremony that the glorious floral dressings came into their own. Guests enjoyed a gourmet wedding breakfast in chef Raymond Blanc’s two-Michelin-starred Le Manoir restaurant. To match the splendour of the surroundings and the food, Wild at Heart dressed the tables in a harmonious arrangement of crystal, candles and gold. This created an intimate and warm atmosphere for the evening celebration.

At the wedding breakfast the classic blooms and subtle lighting created a magical effect, with each circular table dressed to create an intimate ambience

The stunning rose ball table centres featuring blush and cream blooms were created by elevating arrangements above the table on a Wild At Heart-designed stand. This clever design created the impression of flowers suspended in the air, a wonderful focal point for each table, especially as tables were under-lit by candles. Smaller arrangements using the same colour theme graced each table, and each guest’s place setting contained a single blush rose.

This wonderful and utterly lavish design of the wedding flowers was the perfect way to mark a very special day. Nikki Tibbles and team also dressed the beautiful gardens at Le Manoir using an array of different sized lanterns, extending the romance of this magical wedding into the picturesque surroundings.
