The Wedding Shop has launched a fabulous new app to help couples keep on top of their wedding gift list and keep the ‘wedmin’ going while they are on the move. Available as a free download on iOS devices, the app lets you build and then manage your list. It even includes a handy integrated barcode scanner so that you can add gifts when you spot them on your travels
The Wedding Shop is taking things virtual for extra convenience, but you can still browse in any one of its four glamorous showrooms. Choose from Selfridges, Oxford Street and Chelsea, SW3 in London, or pop into its Edinburgh or Dublin branches.
How The Wedding Shop app works
You can use the app to register a new list and then, once it’s established, stay on top of the virtual paperwork. The Wedding Shop app lets you view inspirational lists, create your own website link, order notification cards and personalise your cash fund. If you’re the kind of person who can’t resist knowing how the present pile is going, you can even get an alert every time someone buys a gift. No doubt some couples would prefer to keep a few surprises for the big day, so the team have thoughtfully enabled a switch off of this function if you prefer.
The handiest feature – especially for people who hate writing lists, or get inspired and then promptly forget what it was they absolutely couldn’t live without – has to be the barcode scanner that lets you simply scan a ticket to add the item.
