Great wedding photos often rely on an element of serendipity, but when two celebrations of love collide something good is bound to happen. Laura and Pete were married at One Whitehall Place in early summer – their red letter day coinciding with the capital’s annual Pride March. It may have been a grey and showery afternoon, but nothing could dampen the festival atmosphere on the streets of London. Photographer Laura Babb takes up the story:
LAURA BABB: The route of the Pride March went right past the door of One Whitehall Place, where Laura and Pete were married, so when the three of us headed outside for portraits they were practically mobbed by happy well-wishers! I quickly rallied these well-wishers into an alternative family group shot right there on the street. It was a spontaneous and joyful moment, in which everyone was cheering on the bride and groom. And this turned out to be one of Laura and Pete’s favourite shots from the whole wedding.
