Sassi Holford has always made evening and occasion outfits – it’s just that the move to her new London flagship (a larger store down the road from her old Chelsea premises) has given her a lot more space to showcase what she can create for mothers of the bride and groom, wedding guests and red-carpet event goers.

Designed and made in England
Like Sassi Holford’s bridal gown collection, these occasion pieces are designed and made in the company’s Taunton, Somerset base. Sassi told Absolutely Weddings recently that part of her inspiration for this collection was the mothers of the bride who attend their daughters’ bridal fittings, many of whom have begged her to create something they can wear. Contemporary occasion dressing and the changing nature of weddings – destination, day-into-evening or multi-event – means that an increasing number of mothers of the bride want a fresh take to match their style and the occasion. In other words, more glamour please!
This first collection, available exclusively at Sassi’s London store, features innovative fabric combinations, refined silhouettes and attention to the finer points, with clever draping, pleats, cutout and embellished details. We simply love the collection, which has the kind of style that never dates.
