Gillian Million is one of London’s one-off wedding shopping destinations – and her lovely Teddington atelier should be on every bride’s radar. In one place, you can find a choice pre-loved or sample designer wedding gown and then complete your look with her unique collection of bridal accessories.
Gillian made her first bridal headpiece for her own wedding in 1999 and it was this that ignited her passion for creating unique garlands, vines, crowns and other choice bridal accessories. It wasn’t long before Liberty snapped up her designs. She opened her Teddington atelier in 2009 and has worked with brides from across the world – those who can’t visit in person for a face-to-face appointment can still make a virtual appointment with Gillian to discuss their ideas.
To celebrate the launch of her new-season Botanical bridal headpieces collection, Gillian Million has created a short film to capture the unique wedding styling experience afforded by a visit to her store.
About the Botanical collection
The new Botanical collection features 15 bridal headpieces inspired by nature and featuring fine materials such as Swarovski crystals, and freshwater pearls. Perfect for boho and more traditional bridal looks, each headpiece carries Gillian Million’s trademarks of fine workmanship and delicate and understated glamour. With timeless and vintage designs in he mix, there is a piece to suit all gowns and bridal styles. While most of the Botanical pieces feature a neutral and restrained palette, there are bolder accents to match the nature-inspired theme of the new collection.
Whichever headpiece you choose, it will be completely bespoke to you. And once your wedding day is over you can either have your headpiece re-worked for other occasions or keep it as a family heirloom.
About the Gillian Million experience
Gillian Million has a treasure trove of accessories spanning almost two decades – including jewellery, hats and silk stoles – to use as inspiration for creating your own bespoke ensemble. For each bride, a new bespoke headpiece is created and it will be customised around your look and style, even considering how you wear your parting.
Alongside handmade accessories and lovely silk veils, Gillian Million has a fabulous array of choice designer wedding gowns – samples, catwalk or pre-loved – all less than two years old. Exciting designer names are always in the mix, the likes of Amanda Wakeley, Galia Lahav, Vera Wang, David Fielden, Claire Pettibone, Vivienne Westwood and Laure de Sagazan. All are in their original packaging and the store has a seamstress to assist with alterations.
The atelier is open by appointment, which means you have the benefit of being the only bride in the store, with space and time to try on gowns and accessories to create your perfect combination.
