These elegant London boutique wedding venues give you the opportunity to design a chic and individual celebration in capital style
London boutique wedding venues are a great choice if you are looking to organise a truly individual celebration. And the good news is that the capital is packed with fine smaller hotels and exclusive hire townhouses – many with illustrious histories. So whether you are looking to organise a smaller event or take over the whole venue, the combination of personal service and stylish interiors guarantee a memorable wedding day. Here are seven of our favourite London boutique wedding venues.
Bloomsbury House
Launched in 2016 as a wedding venue, this four-storey Victorian townhouse on Bloomsbury Square is a smart central-London location for an exclusive-hire celebration. Packed with elegant period features, including a fabulous spiral staircase and grand fireplaces, its light and airy top-floor room with vaulted ceiling strikes a more contemporary note and is perfect for the wedding breakfast or late-night dancing. Weddings here are managed by Louise Perry Weddings, with catering by Beluga and no corkage. Capacity: Up to 300. bloomsburyweddings.london
Clissold House

The drawing room and dining room are on the ground floor – giving space to move out to the terrace. Upstairs there are two smaller reception spaces and a dressing room. Covent Garden Hotel
A stylish boutique hotel in the heart of London’s theatre and entertainment district, Covent Garden Hotel is a great choice for an intimate wedding celebration. The Goring
Long a favourite of the Royal Family and chosen by the Duchess of Cambridge as the place to prepare for her big day, The Goring is a gloriously romantic and quintessentially London location to host a wedding in grand style. There is a strong focus on discretion and bespoke event planning and its beautiful Edwardian architecture makes the perfect backdrop – whether you are hosting a chic reception or intimate wedding breakfast. The enclosed gardens – reputed to be one of the largest private spaces in the capital – will very possibly seal the deal. Capacity: Up to 100. thegoring.com
Haymarket Hotel
The Nash-designed Haymarket Hotel is super-grand from the outside, but its interiors by Kit Kemp have a quirky and individual style that blends old and new. There are some wonderful event spaces, including the Shooting Gallery – once used by gents who wanted to practice for the grouse season and now an amazing space for private dining, or a reception for up to 120. For something a little different, choose the hotel’s swimming pool area – a large lower-floor space with a pool, chic bar and glamorous lighting. Capacity: UP to 220. firmdalehotels.com
The Lanesborough
Fabulously imposing from the outside, The Lanesborough is all about life’s luxuries – there’s even a 24-hour butler for each guest. As you would expect, its wedding celebrations are something special, and the fine Regency interiors are the perfect backdrop for grand or intimate occasions. Choice spaces include The Westminster, with elegant Chinoiserie wallpaper and a dramatic glass roof. The largest space is The Belgravia, with Murano glass mirrors, handpainted ceiling and views over Hyde Park. Private rooms can be booked individually or in combination and the in-house wedding planner can assist with everything from the right car (The Lanesborough has a fleet) to flowers and cake.
