Inside it blends cosy and contemporary, with multiple beamed reception spaces – including a grand barn-style room for ceremonies and banquets. Nestled on the brow of a hill and approached down a long driveway through private woodland, Cain Manor is a rustic property outside the peaceful Surrey village of Headley Down, close to Farnham and the border with Hampshire. With its picturesque Elizabethan and Tudor features, it is a timeless and mellow setting for an English country wedding. Inside the property, rich oak beams, mullioned windows and a lovely inglenook fireplace create a series of cosy informal party spaces. The jewel in the crown is the glorious barn-style Music Room, a light-filled double-height space with huge cathedral window, a minstrels gallery and direct access to the peaceful private terrace. With a ceremony capacity for 123 people, up to 170 for the evening dancing, Cain Manor has a stunning bridal suite and 12 further bedrooms, so you can accommodate a crowd and with space for special guests to stay with you throughout the celebration.

The flexibility of the entertaining spaces at Cain Manor means you can design a wedding celebration to suit your style. This is a superb spot for an indoor-outdoor summer celebration, but equally atmospheric in the chill of winter months when a roaring log fire and mellow beams create a timeless period setting. The stunning woodland surroundings and views from every room of the property also make this a spectacular place to host a spring or autumn wedding, when the rich colours of the landscape add a magical extra element. Cain Manor has a ceremony licence for its Music Room, and with a further licence for couples who prefer to marry alfresco during the balmy months. There is a lovely pergola that can be used for the signing of the register. Alfresco and indoor spaces require very little dressing, and the period backdrop is perfect for photography. The lawns are ideal for drinks and there is also a large and elegant Library that can be used for drinks, as an additional reception space or as a breakout room where friends and family can catch up away from the main party in the Music Room.

As this is your space for 24 hours, you can make use of the extra facilities – from walking in the beautiful grounds to playing a spot of tennis or making use of the swimming pool.
