Sassi Holford and ITA Weddings hosted a glittering winter wedding party in the sumptuous surroundings of Stationers’ Hall, offering brides to be a showcase of both this gorgeous London venue for parties and events and Sassi’s new couture bridal collection.
The fashion show that was a highlight of the evening brought together many of the best in the bridal industry, with shoes by Emmy London, glittering bridal jewels by Stephanie Browne and chic wedding hats by Bundle MacLaren.
Invited brides to be were treated to inspiration from a wide variety of industry leaders. The fabulous vegan party-food menu was designed by Stationers’ Hall in-house caterers CH&CO – marking World Vegan Day with a tempting array of colourful finger food.Executive Chef Karen Poynter and Head Chef Michal Kobus showed just how versatile and colourful vegan can be. The superb array of dishes included cauliflower bhaji, mushroom gyoza and triple cooked parsnip chips. Iconic London cakemaker Rosalind Miller created the wedding cake.
Setting the scene
Stationers’ Hall was dressed at its most glamorous best. The guests arrived in the quaint cobbled courtyard of this historic Livery Hall, where lanterns lit their way to the secret garden and lhidden church. Florist Peppermint Poppy transported guests into a romantic forest woodland. The grand hall was dressed in beautiful cherry blossom trees, with rustic woodland table pieces, lush flowers and candles. Leading wedding stationer Ananya Cards had designed the lovely bespoke menu cards.
Urban Soul Orchestra created a delightful live soundtrack before ITA Weddings’ Host Olivia Parrott introduced the event and guests took their seats for the launch of Sassi Holford’s 2019 Enchanted collection. This was showcased alongside choice pieces from her glamorous party and occasion collection.
The after party
After the stunning fashion show, a three-metre mirror gin bar was declared open, serving elderflower and pink gins with delicate garnishes. The interactive dessert table then took centre stage. Continuing the woodland theme of the event, it included edible pebbles and shimmering honeycomb steps leading into a garden of sweet treats such as meringue flowers, candyfloss, poached pears and giant toffee apples.
Sassi Holford says: “It was such a pleasure to showcase my Enchanted collection in London at Stationers’ Hall, in a truly enchanted secret garden. ITA Weddings are perfectionists in all they do – their attention to detail and thought in every aspect of the planning was incredible. CH&CO made their vegan menu look like art, delicious and thrilling”.
