Runway shows are one of the highlights of the bridal season – and this season more hotly anticipated than ever. While the show didn’t go on in spring, as it usually would, Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week took to the stage in early autumn in digital format and, over five days, delivered some spectacular trends for the season to come. Here are six of our favourite runway looks for 2021.

1. Sparkle twist – Isabel Sanchis

Isabel Sanchis’ elegant slimline gown has sparkle trim

Chic and slimline gowns are popular across new season collections but Valencia designer Isabel Sanchis can always be relied on to give this elegant style a super- sophisticated twist. We love this column off-the-shoulder design for its clean lines, and sparkling trim designed to draw the eye to neckline and arms. isabelsanchis.com

2. Top tiers – Rembo Styling

Rembo Styling’s tiered gown has relaxed glamour

Tiers are adding a lighthearted twist to 2021 bridal collections and design house Marylise gave us a classic look for the high-summer or beach bride. In pure white, it has bootlace straps, a bandeau neckline and layered tiers to give plenty of movement to the skirt. rembo-styling.com

We’ve seen a few bold minis on the runway this year but this delicious babydoll-style design by Poesie Sposa tops our list for its fun take on bridal traditions. With a round embellished illusion panel neckline, it has a frothy spotted skirt with silk frill hem – the perfect choice for brides who want to make a statement. poesiesposa.it

It’s a versatile number for day-to-evening parties – especially when you add one of the designer’s glitter tulle capes. jesuspeiro.com
