An exclusive wedding showcase held at Corrigan’s Mayfair brought together leading suppliers from across London. Here are highlights of the show, with lots of creative ideas to inspire your own wedding planning
Exclusive London restaurant Corrigan’s Mayfair is a superb venue for a luxury wedding, offering fine dining in a sumptuous setting. Recently, the restaurant showcased its elegant spaces by hosting an invite-only wedding event, also bringing together leading wedding suppliers to inspire brides to be attending the showcase.
Wedding and event planner Jessica Hay of JHay Creative used her contact book to bring together some of the very best names in everything from gowns and jewellery to photography, flowers and entertainment.
Corrigan’s Mayfair has a variety of event spaces and JHay Creative styled the largest of these for a luxury wedding dinner. Jessica says: “I worked closely with Miriam Faith Flowers to transform a room that was relatively masculine into something elegant and warm.”
The long table featured a lavish floral tablescape, designed so that it extended to the floor in an opulent swag. This arrangement incorporated roses, hydrangeas, and lush orchids, blending textures and scents in a striking white and cream palette. Miriam Faith Flowers’ arrangements for this room also included a stunning flower wall.
The room featured sweet centrepieces created by Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium, the magnificent tiered cakes picking out the room’s gold and cream colourscheme.
The restaurant also became a showcase for all the key elements needed for top-to-toe style on your wedding day, with bridal gowns from The Wedding Club, stockist of leading British and international names such as Berta, Charlie Brear, Temperley London and Zuhair Murad. Beautiful flowergirl dressses were displayed by leading designer Nicki Macfarlane, creator of the gowns worn by the Duchess of Cambridge’s bridesmaids.
Groomswear was exhibited by Cad & The Dandy, while jewels from Visual Couture glittered under pretty glass cake cloches. The spaces were decked with creative ideas – bejewelled shoes from Giuseppe Zanotti were so glamorous that they looked picture-perfect arrayed on the flower wall. Leading wedding photographer John Nassari was on hand to capture all the elements used to dress Corrigan’s Mayfair for this stylish wedding event.
