Beverley Edmondson has just opened a fabulous destination hat store in Farnham, Surrey – offering the last word in glamorous hats and headpieces for mothers of the bride, wedding goers and brides who want to get ahead in the style stakes
At Absolutely Weddings we simply love wedding hats – a surefire way to stand out from the party crowd – so the arrival of a dedicated hat store to showcase the talents of leading British milliner Beverley Edmondson is good news indeed.
This hat label has been creating dream headpieces for over ten years, topping off the outfits of wedding and race goers as well as creating glorious confections for films, TV and royals along the way. Beverley Edmondson’s reputation spans the globe – with clients as far afield as Texas and Australia – and her distinctive hats and headpieces have won her multiple awards, including Accessory Designer of the Year 2017 and finalists’ places in the prestigious Drapers awards 2015 and 2016.
The new Farnham, Surrey store is close to the railway station and is an Aladdin’s cave of treasures, with over 200 hats and fascinators to give you inspiration and help you find the design for you. If you can’t find a hat or fascinator to work with your style or the occasion, you can opt to go bespoke with a design to perfectly match your outfit.
While drop-in visitors are more than welcome at the store, we recommend making an appointment if you would like guidance (after all, these days many of us are not used to wearing hats with confidence). This gives you the opportunity to sit down with chief milliner Beverley Edmondson and get expert advice. Beverley also hosts millinery workshops and parties in the studio attached to her store, so you will benefit from her in-depth knowledge of what works with different face shapes and outfits, as well as how to wear your hat with aplomb. If you can’t travel to Farnham for a face-to-face appointment, Beverley also offers consultations via Skype.
Alongside a fantastic selection of hats and fascinators, the Beverley Edmondson store stocks a great range of accessories and finishing touches – from stoles, clutches and Rainbow Club dye-to-order shoes to ties and pocket squares for the male members of your wedding party. Particularly useful for wedding parties, the store can also design and create corsages to order – perfect if you want to pick up the theme in a hat or design something for the bridal party to match the bridal colours. Unlike floral corsages, these bespoke designs will also be permanent mementoes of your wedding day.
