The Aashni + Co Wedding Show is making at triumphant return to The Dorchester. This unique London show designed and curated by one of London’s most exquisite boutiques showcases the latest bridal, occasion and couture collections from the cream of India and Pakistan’s designers.
Top names appearing
This one-day wedding spectacular offfers the full spectrum of South Asian design talent, with traditional, contemporary and crossover designs firmly in the mix. The showcase and exhibition includes names such as Anamika Khanna, Anushree Reddy, Elan, Gaurav Gupta, Sabyasachi, Tarun Tahiliani, Monisha Jaising, Rimple and Harpreet Narula, Jade and ASAL by Abu Sandeep.
Many of these designers are personalities in their own right and a side-benefit of attending the show is the opportunity to meet the talented men and women who dress glamorous brides, Bollywood A-listers and the cream of the international set.
The show is the brainchild of Aashni Anshul Doshi, founder and creative director of the Notting Hill concept store Aashni + Co. Aashni established her boutique in order to give UK and European audiences access to visionary designers of South Asian origin. She believes the show is a natural extension of Aashni + Co’s original vision to bring the very best of South Asian design and artisanship to London buyers: “I could not be more excited for the wedding show this year. The level of talent and expertise that we have showcasing at the event is second to none…There is no region in the world that creates bridal wear quite as luxurious, opulent and extravagant as this”.
The Indian wedding industry is currently valued at over £12 billion and, with January historically being the peak time that summer brides and grooms in the UK shop for their wedding finery, this is a great time to visit to see the huge number of options available.
